ANNOUNCEMENT (Sunday, April 4th, 2010)

Hi all runners - from last year, few years ago, and new runners (and including friends of DPO who may know a runner or may want to become a runner)!

Sad news, I want to let you know that we won't run for Hood to Coast Relay 2010. Because they didn't draw our team for HTC '10 but possible next year we could run for HTC 2011.

BUT GREAT NEWS, we just accepted by Spokane to Sandpoint Relay 2010 ("The Scenic Relay Race"). This relay is kind of new as it's only 3 or 4 years old relay event. This relay event sounds interesting, fun, and grow. We will start atop picturesque Mt. Spokane at Bear Creek Lodge around 5,000 ft ht. We will go through Spokane, Washington and Coeur d' Alene, Idaho. We will pass north of Coeur d' Alene Lake, go north to ride TREMORS Roller Coaster in Silverwood Theme Park (NW's largest theme park). We will end to go through the 2.2 mile Sandpoint Long Bridge across beautiful Pend Oreille Lake to arrive at the beach in Sandpoint, Idaho. Sounds FUN and GREAT experience, right?!

Spokane to Sandpoint Relay 2010 will start on Friday morning, August 13 and end on Saturday afternoon, August 14. All routes together are around 185 miles total. We will have 12 runners (each will run 3 legs) in our team. We will leave in our vans from Portland on Thursday, August 12 and stay overnight at north of Spokane and get ready to run next morning at Mt. Spokane. After ending of Spokane to Sandpoint Relay, we will stay overnight in Sandpoint, Idaho. Sunday morning, we will drive in our vans back to Portland.

For previous runners from last year and few years ago, and also for new runners, please come to join us for Spokane to Sandpoint Relay 2010!

The fee will be $125.00 which includes the following:
Registration: Spokane to Sandpoint Relay
Transportations: from Portland to Spokane, during the relay race, and Sandpoint to Portland in vans include gas.
Hotels: one night in north of Spokane and one night in Sandpoint
Shirt: Nike Running Shirt
Experience: AWESOME! :0)

DPO will help to pay us a lot to save us more than half! If we do without DPO's help, we would pay at least $260 each.

If you are interested to join us, please contact our DPO team captain, Patrick Fischer at idwiz@earthlink.net and make your check payable to DPO. When I get your name and check, I will send an invitation of registeration via Spokane-to-Relay online.

Send your check to:
