Chair - KatyBeth Anthony
When emailing to others, please use BCC for privacy reasons. She is now confident that all of us now know our jobs; she will "retire" as trainer and only advice when needed.

Treasurer - Kathy Butts-Bernunzio
Balance $1055.03 Collected all unpaid receipts. Expect to pay all debts in full by next month's meeting.

Captain - Susan Cunningham (Had to leave early)
Gave thanks to all for a great event, Howard may be captain for next year. Many want to continue two walking teams for next year.

Grants - Darby Smith
Not present, but gave written report and folder. Stepping down to concentrate on schoolwork. Marianne to take over.

Fundraising Report - Given by Kim Braun/Jennifer Hummel
Developed tentative calendar of events for Sept 2004- Aug 2005. Discussion. Baja Fresh, Dingo, cooking class, acting/drama class, Xmas bazaar. Will have committee meeting, work out budgets. Earned approximately $50 from Pizza Schmizza fundraiser recently.

Public Relations - KatyBeth Anthony
Newsletter - Marianne will work on it, update as needed.
Membership - KB has master list, Kathy collects $$, Patrick updates website/access.
Thank You - Kathy will keep list, have sent out most of Thank You cards.

Website - Patrick Fischer
New web page, lots of improvements. 1/2 of all users gave feedback. Still a few bugs to fix.

Design - Patrick Fischer/Michael Rakozy/Greg Coughlan
Designed Thank You cards using all three team photo finish, need to complete & mail ASAP. Ideas for new shirts, keep logo? T-shirts for members. Discussion on logo/name changes.

Safety - Rita Wallberg
Change team flags using official DPR&DPW colors (red, yellow, black & white). Yellow can be reflective. Ideas for individual lighting systems and decorations. Need to improve flagpole lighting.

Transportation - Tim Kindblade
Budget was $11000, actual for rent and gas was $1760.06. Ideas for next year: Change staging location from Susan's place to east side of Portland, rent cargo top bags from U-Haul.

Supplies - Sandra Kindblade
Need calculators for next year - Kathy has lots! Need individual flashers. Disposable cameras, some weren't used. Some didn't use storage boxes provided, stored in various places in vans. Build a shelf for rear cargo space, for ease of retrieving items at bottom of heap.

Camp - Kim Braun
Budget - Some members still owe her money, total $51. Campsite host says we have to reserve for 2 nights, not one. Need to develop better RSVP system for food, camping. All people happy with camp. We have to reserve campsite for two nights not one.

Captain - Greg Coughlan
Will email us earlier about upcoming race events, coordinate with Kim Braun

1. Need to decide number of walking teams
2. Who will be captain? 2 walking teams and Howard, Mark or Tim?
3. Oct. 25th deadline for entry fee, $900-$1000 per team. Recruiting party? Word of mouth works best. Starbucks? She will find place, email us and we get word out.

Next meeting - October 16th @ 5 PM. Potluck? Place TBA via email.
