Kindblade, Tim Kindblade, Greg Coughlan, Patrick Fischer,
Mike Rakozy, Kim Braun, Susan Cunningham, Kathy Butts-Bernunzio,
Rita Wallberg and KatyBeth Anthony.

Mikey Wilton, Darby Smith, and Marianne Decher.

-None available right now. Now on waiting list.
-Take up to 3 to 4 weeks for availability.
-For now we use current address.
IRS:
-Brief meeting with Darby regarding the organization
-make sure all info is involved. IRS is very strict and
will find excuses to turn any non-profit down.
-Possible future addition for a mental and physical health
service (similar to ADWAS)
-Tax deductible with organization will happen AFTER we get
approval from IRS. But those who donated before is able
to go back and get tax deductible.
Treasurer's
Report

-Total balance as of May 21, 2004: $1,797.38 (new account)
and $13.70 (old account)
-Showed all the account/finances on the first page (old
from last meeting from April)
-Showed new account/finances on back page
-$4.50 refund. Bank error
-Discuss the van issue with the $$ payoff after the race
or before the race?
Fundraiser's
Report
Teresa Finnigan
-Can Collection: Mikey Wilton, show results?
-Baja Fresh Event: Jennifer Hummel, discusses Baja Fresh
flyer issue.
-Fundraiser Idea: Jennifer Hummel, Car Wash at the local
Rite Aid store. Use their water and invite young students
to do the work, then BBQ. We couldn't determine on the date/month.
All agree to wait for the next meeting.
-Pancake Feed Event: Sandra Kindblade, explained in detail
what we need to do here. Starts at 8:30 pm but want volunteers
to show up at 7am to prepare for the Pancake feed. We can
use the church's silverware. Need to finish the flyer in
2 weeks (post on website?). Advertise the quilt at this
event then do raffle at the second Dingo event.
Major concern - need a certified cook? Health issue?
-Dog Party Event, KatyBeth Anthony, came up with an idea
of dog party.
-Teresa proposed to have another Dingo night at Chestnut
Lane.
-Discuss our First Dingo night's Pros and Cons. Overall
it was a success!
-Need to bring it up with this Dingo for our next meeting.

Newsletter:
-Greg showed the Newsletter rough sample. Got some feed
back
-Add haystack on the 3rd page, outline on 1st page needs
some revisions
-2 color job or leave 4 colors and just post it on the website.
-Print out few hard copies for those who don't have computer
-Use recycle paper?

-Still reserved 6 vans
-Will follow up with the sponsor post on the van. Tim tried
but not in office
-Need van top for our storage stuff to allow room
-No need to be concerned about gas cost. Price going up
still be $300.00
-Total cost is $1,500
-Greg relay message from Beth Cordy (runner), she is willing
to lend her van to save cost.
-Not sure since insurance issue, what if damage and other
problems
-Will bring it up second meeting.

-Mostly all for need to buy total cost $3100.00
-Will revised some more to keep the cost down.

and Event finder/Set up Report

-Review postcards (will not do the mailing) will posted
through emails or on website
-Postcards mostly food preparation for the post race at
camp.
-Got some feed back from the committees. Need more veggie
instead of all meat, crab food too fancy? Use potato instead
of french fries. Water, beer and wine?
-Need plastic bins (Greg will donated 4 rubber maid bins)
-Kim provided thick handout photos of what campground looks
like.
Captains'
Report
Susan Cunningham and Greg Coughlan
-Capt Susan need 6 walkers 2 walkers backed out.
-Issue of paying $$ back? Yes.
-Need help to get more walkers.
-Greg still remain full team
-Practice new schedule Sat & Sun
-Encourage everyone to show up and some concerns for some
not showing up or not reporting to Greg and Susan.
-Discuss issue regarding Phillip Klover need to follow up
email to have him join practice. -Agreed to allow more time
for Capt Greg and Capt Susan to watch him to walk and not
run. If that happens again will be need to review with Phillip
and his father, Don to have him be part of membership, volunteer
or support DPR/DRW.

Grant/Donation
Report (Submitted after the meeting was over)
Darby Smith
Grant:
- DPR&DPW does not have non-profit status yet, so I
can't write any grants. I will finish my part of the non-profit
authorization form when I get more information.
Donations:
- My lovely assistant - take a bow Marianne - has called
most of the possible donors who were sent letters in February
and March by Teresa. Unfortunately, no one has been available
when she's called, so she's just left messages. So far this
year DPR&DPW has gotten the following donations:
Robert Clough and Madeline Parker - $20
Russ Humberston Jr at Russ Toyota in Beaverton - $100
Future Metals, Inc (where Susan's husband works) - $300
Catholic Deaf Community - $300
-I will write letters to Costco and IHOP this weekend asking
for donations for the Pancake feed. I'll send them on Monday.
