DPRunners' & DPWalkers' Meeting Minutes
January 21, 2006

Place: Baja Fresh on Scholls Ferry Road, January 21st, 2006

Present:
Patrick Fischer, Cindi Oyster, Jennifer Hummel, Kathy Bernunzio, Howard Hammel, Tracy Buckler, Tim Kindblade &  Sandra Kindblade

Chair - Patrick Fischer
-Patrick said KatyBeth will be his vice chair. Patrick said it may be necessary to reorganize (Pres., Vice Pres., Sec., Treas., etc ) to meet IRS rules.

-Made Sign Mime flyer and said class now qualifies for CEU credit.

-Bloomsday Race in Spokane May 7th 12K Walk/Run. Reserved hotel near start line. Wants 10 people to sign up, cost per person would be $60, including van rental, gas, registration. Leave early Sat.

Secretary – Tim Kindblade
-Tim said he lost last meeting minute notes and asked crew for help in reconstructing them.

Treasurer –Kathy Bernunzio
-Kathy reported a balance of 917.21. She also said the loan of $1115 was paid in full by an anonymous donor. See handout.
-Kathy to buy a $100 gift certificate at Washington Square as a Thank You to donor. Approved.

Grantwriting – KatyBeth Anthony
-KatyBeth is currently at another mtg.

Fundraising – Jennifer Hummel
-Jennifer passed out new fundraising calendar.
-Yoga flyer will be out tomorrow. Paid $100 damage deposit, refundable and $30 rental fee.
-Bingo in March? Sell plants, maybe daffolids? SK, Tish to gauge interest, Howard to check into price and availability.
-Sign Mime Feb. 5th, taught by PF. $25 /workshop, and/or $5 for performance.
-Pancake Feed at St. Philip Neri in Portland. $4.50 adult, $3.00 child. Syrup, juice, etc., to be donated. We must pay $1.20 per person to St Philip Neri as rental fee for use of space.
-Door Prizes- ask KB Kathy to write donation letters to Fred Meyers, Target and others. Elmers for 10 gallons of pancake mix, Costco for sausage. Raffle tickets one for $.25, five for $1.00.
-Theresa Coughlan’s quit for raffle? Approved.

Public Relations – Mark Rosenblume

Design - Tracy Buckner
-Tracy, no report

Webmaster - Patrick Fischer
-Patrick, design done but wording needs to be checked. See @ www.dprdpw.org/updated.

Safety - Rita Wallberg
-Assistant, Tim, no report.

Transportation – Tim Kindblade
-Tim reports Enterprise will rent vans for $400. each, same as last year. Budget total including gas and carwash, is $1820.

-Discussion on other relay events: Rainier to Pacific, Portland to Eugene. Seattle to Portland biking event, snowshoeing? Others? Mike R. biking chair?

Supply – Sandra Kindblade
-Sandra, no report.

Post-Race Camp – Sandra Kindblade
-Sandra,  Subcommittee reports cabin rental during summer is by week only, $1000 or more per week. Dropped. Will stay with Wright Camp. Tish will cook, Sue will recruit volunteers.
-Still haven’t gotten Kim’s camp folder, maybe on Feb 2nd?

Walking Captain - Howard Hammel
-Howard has 9 signed up but 6 paid. P2C says 150 teams have signed up to date. Haven’t heard from Greg about setting up a practice schedule.
-Still looking for assistant.

Running Captain – Greg Coughlan
-Greg has 9 signed up but only 3 paid.
