Our organization, Deaf Power Organization (DPO) was reformed in the year 2000 (formerly named Deaf Power Runners & Deaf Power Walkers) with a goal to allow our signing individuals (both deaf and hearing) to compete in the Hood To Coast Relay race and has since grown to include teams of individuals from various communities and businesses throughout the nation and Canada. DPO has broadened to include other events to promote health and fitness within our deaf and hard-of-hearing communities and outside. Anyone who is interested in health and fitness is welcome to join as a member and have an opportunity to experience opportunities opened to us through events focused on sports of any kind.

With your strong and faithful support, we are able to continue this tradition and to further strengthen our bond by moving towards our goal of bringing the community closer together and expose our Deaf/Hard-of-Hearing related businesses to the public thus eliminating the cultural and communication barriers we occasionally encounter.
